How the company got
its name?
In 1978, Ray Murphy was earning his master's degree when he invented and received a patent on the "SpaceWalker." He later built a plant to sell his product.

In earning his degree and with years of professional experience, our owner had worked for some of the most prestigious engineering companies across the United States before creating a successful company in his hometown. Some former employers include St. Joseph Lead Co., Medart Co., and McDonnell Douglas Co. He was a veteran of World War II and helped with the development of the first atomic bomb.
